We want your kids to join us for Mega Sports Camp! We will be hosting soccer and basketball camps for kids entering Kindergarten through 5th grade. (Basketball participants must be at least 6 and entering 1st grade). Kids will enjoy four days of fun and sports training from positive and uplifting coaches. Between sessions kids will hear sports and bible stories that help character-building themes take hold in kid’s hearts. Our coaches will help every child learn and develop in the sport of their choice no matter their skill level. Mega Sports Camp will be held at Hallett Elementary, from 9am to noon from July 31 to August 3. (NOTE: We originally planned for Stedman Elementary but it is unavailable this summer due to construction).

FAQ’s

What’s the cost for the camps? It's FREE! (But space is limited to please register soon).

My child isn’t in organized sports. Will they enjoy the camp? We’ve designed our camps so that all skill levels will have fun. We realize that not every child is involved or active in sports so our coaches and volunteers work to make sure that each kid is enjoying and learning something about the sport while having fun with their friends.

What is this year's theme? Team Spirit. Kids will discover four important team principles such as respect and cooperation that will help them in sports and in life.  Day 1 - Team means We, not Me. Day 2 - Everyone deserves respect. Day 3 - All of us make mistakes. Day 4 - My attitudes and actions matter. Each day kids will also hear a story from the life of Jesus.

Can my child switch sports throughout the week? If your child tries out a sport and is not “feeling it” after the first day, we’re happy to allow them to switch to another sport they’d like to try. After the first day of practice however, we ask that your child stays with the camp that they are in. This allows our coaches to build rapport with all of their athletes and helps our volunteers and staff know where your child is throughout the week.

My child has allergies. Is this something they can do? Of course! We want everyone to be involved in Mega Sports Camp. We do have snack times for the kids after practices, but try to make sure that all of our snacks are completely nut free. If your child has a food or other allergy, please make sure to let us know about it, note it on the registration form, and leave any medication or epipens that might be needed in case of emergency.

What should my child bring to camp?

  • Water bottle
  • Soccer ball & shin guards or basketball (We have extra soccer/basketballs for kids who don't have them).
  • Please label all items
  • Sunscreen - apply before arriving...basketball participants too
