It's becoming an annual tradition of The Hills Church that we provide teacher appreciation lunches for some of our neighborhood schools each May. I've spent some time recently in a few elementary classrooms. All I can say is that teachers don't get paid enough! It's not that the kids are bad: it's just that there are a lot of them...and they're kids. Being a teacher is a high calling. I couldn't do it! As the school year is winding down teachers could use a little more encouragement than normal.

We'll be taking lunch to 6 schools in the coming weeks.  We set up lunch in a buffet style. The teachers (all school staff) serve themselves. We make sure that the food is replenished as it runs low, get drinks for them, and thank them for their hard work. It's really a fun time. Let me know if you'd like to help us for one or two.
