Sunday Worship - Special Guest Bishop Walter Harvey

Sunday Worship - Special Guest Bishop Walter Harvey

The Hills Church (map)

Bring a friend and join us on Sunday, September 1, at 10 a.m. as we welcome Bishop Walter Harvey as our guest speaker. Bishop Harvey is the President of the National Black Fellowship of the Assemblies of God, a movement of hope that is developing and deploying African American leaders, planting and revitalizing churches, advancing biblical justice and restoring families in America’s toughest cities. He has been the Senior Pastor of Parklawn Assembly of God in Milwaukee, WI since 1992.

The greater Milwaukee community has applauded Bishop Harvey and the Parklawn congregation for its servant leadership demonstrated by a school, an accredited theological seminary and urban ministers training center, an economic development corporation, a commercial kitchen, and a recording studio and a cafe.

He is a graduate of Marquette University, published author, and a former producer host of the Emmy award winning PBS television show Black Nouveau, a program that tells stories of triumph and transformation in Milwaukee's African-American community through profiles and interviews of the city's change makers.

Labor Day Cookout @ City Park

Labor Day Cookout @ City Park

City Park (map)

Can you believe summer is almost over? Join us for some food, friends, and fun at City Park. We'll bring the burgers and dogs. Bring something to share. We'll have a few games like corn hole and spike ball. (Matthew has never lost at spike ball. Consider this a challenge).

City Park is big so look for us between the tennis courts and the castle playground (to the west of Duck Lake). The easiest way to find us is to enter City Park from 23rd. Go around the traffic circle almost completely and take the last street before going in a complete circle. Follow the road past the tennis courts. Before you get to the castle playground, we'll be on the right.
