Join us on Sunday, September 20, at 11 a.m. as we celebrate our third year of following Jesus and loving our neighbors. If you had told us last September what would happen in the next 12 months, we would not have believed you. This has been a year we won’t soon forget! But God has been and continues to show himself faithful through it all. So, we’re going to celebrate.

We’re celebrating with a picnic at Martin Luther King Park (38th/Newport). Park along the street on Newport to find us. We’ll have a short devotion from our pastor followed by communion (first in-person communion in 6 months!). Then, were going to eat street tacos from Tacos De Suadero (food truck from the corner of Smith/Poplar). Your first plate is on us!

OUR COVID-FREE PLAN

  • Masks are required.

  • We’ll provide hand sanitizer and ask everyone to apply sanitizer upon arrival and upon entering the food line.

  • Bring a chair/blanket.

  • The food line will be marked in six-foot increments.

  • Bring a drink. WE WILL NOT BE PROVIDING CUPS, DRINKS, OR REFILLS.

  • Greet one another with a holy elbow pump (or salute or “air” five) and not with a holy kiss or hug.

  • Our guiding picnic principle = self-sacrificing love. We understand that everyone is practicing different levels of physical distancing. My challenge to you is to be willing to sacrifice your own preferences for a couple hours to ensure that our high risk friends and protectors are not put in compromising situations. Who is high risk? Well, we don’t want to put anyone unnecessarily in the spotlight, so we’re going to treat everyone as if high risk. We want to see you! and hope you’ll not let our different physical distancing practices stand in the way of that.
